Andrew Colman - Clinical Dental Technician
CDT adv Dip CDT (ont) Dip CDT RCS (eng) 2010
GDC NO. 109545
Andrew started his Dental career in 1993 as a Dental Technician which resulted in becoming recognised as a technician able to create quality crown and bridge work and having a “special interest” in removable Dentures.
In 2008, he graduated with honours at George Brown College in Toronto to become a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT). This enables Andrew to treat patients directly for provision of dentures, in the practice and then within minutes he is in the on-site lab crafting their dentures. This is fairly unique to have an on-site CDT in the practice. Often it can take weeks to craft similar beautiful dentures in other practices simply because they don't have a CDT.
In 2010 Andrew graduated at The Royal College of Surgeons. He was the first CDT in the UK to employ a dentist, and became one of the first CDT’s able to practice in the UK!
After running his own Dental Surgery and Laboratory for over 23 years, Andrew moved to Australia for 4 years to further his experience at an implant specialist practice specialising in 'All-on-4' bridgework and full mouth rehabilitation.
In his spare time Andrew enjoys running, yoga and travelling. He enjoys a good marathon run!
